Adrian Edwards Biography

After graduating from Cambridge with an Engineering degree, Adrian began his television career as an announcer, before becoming a director and producer. He began with directing news and features, regional documentaries and game shows. In 1985 he joined the legendary children's department of TVS Maidstone under Nigel Pickard, where he gained valuable experience as a producer and director, including directing the live Saturday morning children's shows.

In 1993 he took over as producer of How2, the iconic kids' series starring Carol Vorderman for Scottish Television, which he continued to produce, direct and exec for 12 series. During his time at STV, he produced and directed many other successful children's series for CiTV and Channel 4. In the course of this, he won a BAFTA and an RTS Television Award.

Towards the end of his time with STV, he directed and produced a wide range of adult programmes, including documentaries marking the 25th anniversary of Taggart.

His special skills include the mastery of material using multi-layered video effects and CGI elements, the ability to present studio demonstration material effectively, and the ability to structure, write and edit content.
